- Opturator with teeth to cure cases of anomalies & cleft palate, cleft lip
I have done extensive research, and worked on various cases of Anomalies & Cleft Palate and Cleft Lip. I derived a theory that the reduction the opturator ring can close the cleft, and put it to practice.
- One of my patient had congenital problem of cleft lip & palate. She was treated by plastic surgeons. Right from the day of birth up to 12 years of her age, she met with 4 plastic surgery operations. It resulted in correction of cleft lip, but cleft in palate remained in full size antero-posteriorly, also lateral repair of palate [ridge of the palate] was not upto the standard. So, she was facing great trouble in eating, drinking and speaking. The other growth of body was normal. When she crossed her higher science studies, she was reluctant to go to college because of her aesthetic and speech problem. She was referred to my clinic for the possibility of opturator. After I started treating her, she started attending college!
In the case of Mr.Mukesh Shah, had an opturator in 1973 from me, and then after could complete his education also could speak on phone in understandable speech. His cleft was not closed. Mukesh was doing business with the help of opturator given before 13 years. I convinced him by showing the reports of Anita to have new therapy with opturator that may close his cleft and may free him permanently relieve him from opturator. Within 6 months period of treatment 30 years old Mukesh got rid of opturator.
